It’s the first morning back at home after being away, and there’s a deer sitting in the garden. Unusual behaviour, normally they’re just passing through, I hope it’s just enjoying the nice morning.

Farmers in the north of England are worried because their grass is not growing – due to low temperatures during the Spring. We don’t have that problem here.
The Hawthorn trees are in bloom, so common it’s easy to be overlooked, but it’s spectacular – both close up, and the wider landscape that’s dotted with the Hawthorn in bloom.
An evening walk from the barn, up the little used path to Trenewan, and around in a loop on paths and quite roads.
I was sitting at the desk this morning, looking out the window, thinking I really should write a blog post.. and a deer walked past the window. It was walking down the outside of the garden fence, checking out the vegetables Marie has just planted – it looked like a deer deciding on breakfast to me. Continue reading
