It’s the first morning back at home after being away, and there’s a deer sitting in the garden. Unusual behaviour, normally they’re just passing through, I hope it’s just enjoying the nice morning.

Farmers in the north of England are worried because their grass is not growing – due to low temperatures during the Spring. We don’t have that problem here.

The Hawthorn trees are in bloom, so common it’s easy to be overlooked, but it’s spectacular – both close up, and the wider landscape that’s dotted with the Hawthorn in bloom.

A short walk from Hendersick Farm, via the coast path, to Talland Bay. A quick stop for a Roskillys ice cream at the Talland Beach Cafe (yum!) before climbing the steep hill out of Talland back to the NT Carpark at Hendersick. Continue reading
